Please read below for an important update on the April 2022 Vacancy Election.
Due to incorrect wording on the ballot, the Elections Committee has voted to extend the deadline to submit ballots. Ballots may now be submitted through April 25th at 11:59pm (Pacific Time). Ballots may also now be requested through this form through Monday, April 25th at 6:00pm.
In particular, the language on the ballot suggests that current undergraduate students cannot vote if they are not currently working as a GSI/TA, reader, or tutor. The correct language is below. Please disregard the language to the contrary on the ballot itself.
The correct language: “By voting in this election you certify that you are a member of UAW2865; per the bylaws, this means you must be a current University of California graduate student, or a current undergraduate student who is currently working for the University of California as a GSI/TA, reader, or tutor or who has previously worked for the University of California as a GSI/TA, reader, or tutor.”
The Elections Committee will be on-call for assistance during the election. If you encounter issues while voting—i.e. you do not get an invitation to your ballot or you have trouble logging into the ballot—please call our Zoom hotline, hours to be posted here.
